As requested, the sample submitted will be returned to you. Samples and description have been provided for item 64690, a European style sauna brush. The brush is composed of an elliptical metal wire covered with polypropylene bristles, and has a polystyrene plastic handle. The overall measurement for the brush is: 21.5 inches long, which includes the handle; the brush itself measures 13.5 inches long by 4.25 inches wide. An opening at the top of the handle facilitates hanging of the brush when not in use. This item is designed for deep massaging and invigorating cleansing. The applicable subheading for the sauna brush will be 9603.90.8050, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Brooms, brushes…Other: Other; Other.” The rate of duty will be 2.8% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/.
