Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Open Gov ("open-gov.usebase.io") is a product of Digital Operating Solutions LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("DOS", "we", "us", "our"). Base and Buoy are products operated by DOS. This policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you visit the platform, interact with our AI chat, or use our APIs.

2. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

b. Information We Collect Automatically

c. Visitor Identification (B2B)

We use a third-party service, RB2B, to identify business visitors to this platform. RB2B operates on US-based traffic only and matches IP-level signals to publicly available business profile information (such as a name, company, job title, and LinkedIn-style profile URL). This allows us to understand which businesses are interested in our trade intelligence platform so we can follow up and improve the product.

RB2B does not identify individuals located outside the United States. The information surfaced is drawn from public business directories, not from cookies you have set elsewhere.

3. How We Use Information

4. Third-Party Services

We share information with the following categories of third-party service providers, only as needed for them to perform services on our behalf:

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. Some of the above sharing may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" under certain US state privacy laws (see Section 7).

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, analytics, and marketing measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so may impair your ability to sign in or use parts of the platform. Most browsers also support a "Do Not Track" signal — we honor browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and comply with our legal obligations. Server logs are typically retained for 90 days. Account data is retained for the life of the account plus a reasonable period thereafter for legal and operational purposes. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

7. Your Privacy Rights

United States — California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Other States

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to: (i) know what personal information we have collected; (ii) request access to or correction of that information; (iii) request deletion; (iv) opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; and (v) limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not knowingly collect or process sensitive personal information.

Opting Out of Visitor Identification (RB2B)

To opt out of identification by RB2B across all sites that use it, visit https://rb2b.com/opt-out. The opt-out is honored on a per-device / per-profile basis.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are a resident of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@usebase.io. We do not direct visitor identification or marketing measurement at users in these regions.

8. How to Exercise Your Rights

Send a request to support@usebase.io including the right you wish to exercise and enough information for us to verify your identity. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (typically 45 days).

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No system is 100% secure; in the event of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

The platform is intended for use by businesses and trade-compliance professionals, not by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
