Dear Ms. Lapinski: This classification decision under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) is being issued in accordance with the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). DATE OF INQUIRY : August 3, 1995 ON BEHALF OF : Select Service & Supply DESCRIPTION OF MERCHANDISE : Item No. 16542 play parachute made primarily of nylon material. Parachutes range in size from 6 feet to 24 feet in diameter and have handles for players to grip. Used in group physical and developmental recreational activities. HTS SUBHEADING : 9506.99.6080 RATE OF DUTY : 4.5 percent ad valorem OTHER : The sample will be returned as requested.
