Carrier Automated Tariff Systems

The Federal Maritime Commission adds new regulations establishing the requirements for carrier automated tariff systems in accordance with the Shipping Act of 1984, as modified by Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 1998 and section 424 of the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 1998. As part of these rules, we are adopting as an interim final rule the definition of motor vehicle which was not included in the proposed rule.
