Tapered Roller Bearings and Parts Thereof, Finished and Unfinished, From the People's Republic of China; Final Results and Partial Termination of Antidumping Duty Administrative Review

Commerce Department

Abstract

On August 5, 1996, the Department of Commerce (the Department) published the preliminary results of its administrative review of the antidumping duty order on tapered roller bearings (TRBs) and parts thereof, finished and unfinished, from the People's Republic of China (PRC). The period of review (POR) is June 1, 1994, through May 31, 1995. Based on our analysis of comments received, we have made changes to the margin calculations, including corrections of certain clerical errors. Therefore, the final results differ from the preliminary results. The final weighted-average dumping margins are listed below in the section entitled ``Final Results of Review.'' We have determined that sales have been made below normal value (NV) during the POR. Accordingly, we will instruct the U.S. Customs Service to assess antidumping duties based on the difference between export price (EP) or constructed export price (CEP) and NV. We have terminated this review with respect to Shanghai General Bearing Company (Shanghai) based on our revocation of the company from this order in the final results of the 1993-94 review. See Tapered Roller Bearings and Parts Thereof, Finished and Unfinished, from the PRC (to be published in Vol. 62 of the Federal Register in February 1997) (TRBs VII).
