Department of Energy Federal Energy Regulatory Commission [Docket No. CP25-54-000] The staff of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC or Commission) has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) for the Parks Line Upgrade and Sorrento Station Project (Project), proposed by Gulf South Pipeline Company, LLC (Gulf South) in the above-referenced docket. [ 1 ] Gulf South requests authorization to construct, own, operate, and maintain the Project located in St. Martin and Ascension Parishes, Louisiana. The proposed Project would allow Gulf South to restore the maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) along its existing pipeline system, enabling Gulf South to reliably deliver an additional 236,000 dekatherms per day of natural gas. The EA assesses the potential environmental effects of the construction and operation of the Project in accordance with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969. FERC staff concludes that approval of the proposed Project would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment. The proposed Project includes the following facilities and activities: Restoration of the Parks Line (Index 330) MAOP replace 11 segments, equaling 4.55 miles of the Parks Line (Index 330) in St. Martin Parish with pipe that would permit the reestablishment of the original MAOP of the pipeline, allowing for the pipeline to operate at its certificated MAOP and reestablishing its full pressure of 1,0
