SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background On July 22, 2024, Commerce published in the Federal Register its preliminary determination in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation of melamine from Qatar and invited interested parties to comment. [ 1 ] In the Preliminary Determination, and in accordance with section 705(a)(1) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (the Act), and 19 CFR 351.210(b)(4) , Commerce aligned the final CVD determination with the final antidumping duty determination of melamine from Qater. [ 2 ] On July 22, 2024, Commerce tolled certain deadlines in this administrative proceeding by seven days. [ 3 ] The deadline for the final determination is now December 2, 2024.
