Carbon and Alloy Steel Wire Rod From the Republic of Korea: Preliminary Results of Antidumping Duty Administrative Review; 2022-2023

Abstract

The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) preliminarily finds that POSCO and POSCO International Corporation (PIC) (collectively, POSCO), a producer and exporter of carbon and alloy steel wire rod (wire rod) from the Republic of Korea (Korea), sold subject merchandise in the United States at prices below normal value during the period of review (POR) May 1, 2022, through April 30, 2023. We invite all interested parties to comment on these preliminary results.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background On May 21, 2018, Commerce published in the Federal Register the antidumping duty order on wire rod from Korea. [ 1 ] On April 8, 2019, Commerce revoked, in part, the Order with respect to grade 1078 and higher tire cord quality wire rod used in the production of tire cord wire. [ 2 ] On June 13, 2019, Commerce revoked, in part, the Order with respect to valve spring quality (VSQ) wire rod.
