SUMMARY: The U.S. Department of Energy (“DOE”) is publishing this final rule to amend the current regulations for large-diameter ceiling fans. The contents of these technical amendments correspond with provisions enacted by Congress through the Energy Act of 2020. This final rule also implements conforming amendments to the ceiling fan test procedure to ensure consistency with the Energy Act of 2020. DATES: The effective date of this rule is May 27, 2021. The incorporation by reference of certain publications listed in the rule is approved by the Director of the Federal Register on May 27, 2021.
