Abstract

The Department of Commerce (Commerce) preliminarily determines that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of certain softwood lumber products (softwood lumber) from Canada. The period of review is April 28, 2017 through December 31, 2018. Interested parties are invited to comment on these preliminary results.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background On January 3, 2018, Commerce published in the Federal Register a countervailing duty (CVD) order on softwood lumber from Canada. [ 1 ] Several interested parties requested that Commerce conduct an administrative review of the CVD Order, and, on April 1, 2019, Commerce published in the Federal Register a notice of initiation of the first administrative review of the CVD Order.
