SUMMARY: The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) preliminarily determines that countervailable subsidies were being provided to producers and exporters of certain softwood lumber products (softwood lumber) from Canada during the period of review (POR), January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023. Commerce is also rescinding this review with respect to 46 companies. Interested parties are invited to comment on these preliminary results. DATES: Applicable April 9, 2025. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background On January 3, 2018, Commerce published the countervailing duty (CVD) order on softwood lumber from Canada in the Federal Register .
