The Office also proposes to replace the current USPTO Code of Professional Responsibility, which is based on the Model Code of Professional Responsibility of the American Bar Association, with new USPTO Rules of Professional Conduct, largely based on the Model Rules of Professional Conduct of the American Bar Association.
