Source data is checked daily. OFAC and EU sanctions are refreshed within 24 hours of official publication. The OpenSanctions dataset is updated every 4-12 hours upstream.

Can I use this for compliance screening?

This tool is provided for informational and research purposes. Always verify screening results against official government sources (OFAC, EU OJ, UN) before making compliance decisions.

What is denied party screening?

Denied party screening is the process of checking whether an individual, company, or vessel appears on government-maintained restriction lists before conducting business with them. These lists include the BIS Denied Persons List, Entity List, Unverified List, OFAC SDN list, and sanctions lists from the EU, UN, and other jurisdictions. Screening is required under US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and OFAC regulations.

What is the Consolidated Screening List?

The Consolidated Screening List (CSL) is a combined dataset of export screening lists maintained by the US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), including the Denied Persons List (DPL), Entity List, Unverified List, and Military End-User List. Our database extends this with OFAC SDN, EU CFSP, UN Security Council, and Australian DFAT sanctions for comprehensive global coverage.
