Dear Mr. Olsen: In your letter dated January 2, 2006, on behalf of Bellini Baby Furniture, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The merchandise to be imported is identified as “Danny Baby Group” consisting of baby furniture items made of wood, medium density fiberboard (MDF) and plywood as follows: crib 3 drawer changing unit The applicable subheading for the crib will be 9403.50.9040, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Other furniture and parts thereof: Wooden furniture of a kind used in the bedroom: Other: Other, Beds.” The rate of duty will be Free. The applicable subheading for the 3 drawer changing unit will be 9403.50.9080, HTSUS, which provides for “Other furniture and parts thereof: Wooden furniture of a kind used in the bedroom: Other: Other, Other.” The rate of duty will be Free. The 3 drawer changing unity may be subject to antidumping duties or countervailing duties.
