Dear Mr. Olsen: In your letter dated January 2, 2006, on behalf of Bellini Baby Furniture, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The merchandise to be imported is identified as “Jessica Baby Furniture Group” consisting of baby furniture items made of wood, medium density fiberboard (MDF) and/or plywood as follows: crib armoire chifferobe tall storage unit 3-drawer changing unit with unattached mirror The applicable subheading for the crib will be 9403.50.9040, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Other furniture and parts thereof: Wooden furniture of a kind used in the bedroom: Other: Other, Beds.” The rate of duty will be free. The applicable subheading for the armoire, chifferobe, storage unit and 3-drawer changing unit will be 9403.50.9080, HTSUS, which provides for “Other furniture and parts thereof: Wooden furniture of a kind used in the bedroom: Other: Other, Other.” The rate of duty will be Free. The applicable subheading for the mirror will be 7009.92.5000, HTSUS, which provides for “Glass mirrors… Other: Framed: Over 929 square centimeters in reflecting area." The rate of duty will be 5% ad valorem. The armoire, chifferobe, storage unit, 3-drawer changing unit and mirror may be subject to antidumping duties or countervailing duties.
