N312874 July 27, 2020 CLA-2-29:OT:RR:NC:N3:138 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 2933.29.2000 Ms. Sheila Heerdt Ren Pharm International Ltd. 350 Jericho Turnpike, Suite 204 Jericho, NY 11753 RE: The tariff classification of Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride (CAS No. 2315-02-8) in bulk powder form, from Brazil Dear Ms. Heerdt: In your letter dated June 30, 2020, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride is a vasoconstrictor. It is indicated for the topical treatment of persistent facial erythema associated with rosacea in adults. It is also used for the temporary relief of nasal congestion caused by allergies or the common cold. The applicable subheading for the Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride in bulk powder form will be 2933.29.2000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Heterocyclic compounds with nitrogen hetero-atom(s) only: Compounds containing an unfused imidazole ring (whether or not hydrogenated) in the structure: Other: Aromatic or modified aromatic: Other: Drugs.” Pursuant to General Note 13, HTSUS, the rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
