N280823 December 1, 2016 CLA-2-42:OT:RR:NC:N4:441 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 4202.91.0000 Kathy Trotta Conair Corporation 150 Milford Road East Windsor, NJ 08520 RE: The tariff classification of a jewelry bag from China Dear Ms. Trotta: In your letter dated October 12, 2016, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You have submitted a sample, which will be returned to you under separate cover. Item A004906 is a jewelry bag constructed of 100% polyester textile material. The bag provides storage, protection, portability, and organization to jewelry. It is round in shape with a drawstring closure. The interior is lined with textile and has several pouch pockets to separate the jewelry by type or by piece. The applicable subheading for the jewelry bag will be 4202.92.9100, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other containers and cases, with outer surface of sheeting of plastics or of textile materials, other, other, with outer surface of textile materials, of man-made fibers (except for jewelry boxes of a kind normally sold at retail with their contents). The duty rate will be 17.6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
