The tariff classification of a foldable storage bin from China
N267806 September 14, 2015 CLA-2-63:OT:RR:NC:N3:351 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6307.90.9889 Ms. Kathy Trotta Conair Corporation 150 Milford Road East Windsor, NJ 08520 RE: The tariff classification of a foldable storage bin from China Dear Ms. Trotta: In your letter dated August 14, 2015, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You submitted a sample of a foldable storage bin. The imported storage bin will be compatible with the separately sold 11" cube organizer. There will be two styles of the storage bin, one will be composed of 100% polypropylene and the other will be composed of 100% polyester with a polypropylene interior. The storage bin measures 10 ½" L x 10 ½" W x 11" H and has a metal grommet inserted into one side to simplify the removal of the bin from a shelf. The applicable subheading for the foldable storage bin will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on the World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. The sample will be returned as you requested. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
