The tariff classification of receiving blanket from Ecuador
N253453 June 2, 2014 CLA-2-63:OT:RR:NC:N3:349 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6301.40.0010 Ms. Jennifer Diaz Becker & Poliakoff 121 Alhambra Plaza,10th Floor Coral Gables, FL 33134 RE: The tariff classification of receiving blanket from Ecuador Dear Ms. Diaz: In your letter dated May 9, 2014 you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of Galante Studio Distribution LLC. The sample will be returned as requested. You will be importing a blanket (Galante multi-plaid Orlon) under Style 1100DBLU, Style 1100DPNK, Style 1100BBLU and Style 1100BPNK. A sample of Style 1100BBLU was submitted. It is made from a 100 percent acrylic woven plaid fabric. The fabric has been brushed. The blanket measures approximately 36 x 42 inches. All of the edges are finished with capping. The sample is appliqued and embroidered in with a blue bear motif. The other blankets will have a pink bear, blue duck and pink duck. The applicable subheading for the blanket will be 6301.40.0010, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for blankets and traveling rugs, blankets (other than electric blankets) and traveling rugs, of synthetic fibers, woven. The duty rate will be 8.5 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
