N250142 February 24, 2014 CLA-2-30:OT:RR:E:NC:N2:238 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 3004.90.9110 Mr. Donal O’Sullivan BluePoint Laboratories Eastgate Business Park Eastgate Road, Building 1 Little Island, Cork Ireland RE: The tariff classification of Voriconazole Tablets (CAS-137234-62-9), imported in dosage form, from India Dear Mr. O’Sullivan: In your letter dated February 5, 2014, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The subject product, Voriconazole Tablets, imported in 50 mg and 200 mg, is a medicinal preparation containing, Voriconazole, a triazole antifungal, as the active ingredient. It is indicated for the treatment of esophageal candidiasis, invasive pulmonary aspergillosis and serious fungal infections caused by Scedosporium apiospermum and Fusarium spp. The applicable subheading for the Voriconazole Tablets in dosage form will be 3004.90.9110, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Medicaments … consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses … or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other: Other: Other: Anti-infective medicaments: Other." The rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
