The subject product, Ramipril Tablets in 1.25 mg, 2.5 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg, is a medicinal preparation containing Ramipril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, as the active ingredient. It is indicated for the treatment of mild to severe hypertension and for the reduction of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death in patients with a high risk of cardiovascular occurrences. The applicable subheading for the Ramipril Tablets in dosage form will be 3004.90.9120, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Medicaments … consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses … or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other: Other: Other: Cardiovascular medicaments." The rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
