Main Street Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 RE: The tariff classification of a plastic organizer storage bag from China Dear Ms. Gomez: In your letter dated October 10, 2013, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample is identified as an Organizer Bag, item# CB16241. This item is a rectangular soft-sided bag that is comprised of vinyl plastic material. The top overlaps and is secured using a hook-and-loop closure. There is a textile handle on each end panel. The bag measures 19”L x 24”W x 12”H. The item is of a class or kind of merchandise that is used for storage of various household articles. The applicable subheading for item# CB16241, will be 3924.90.5650, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for …other household articles…of plastics: other: other…other. The rate of duty will be 3.4 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
