A complete corrected ruling follows. In your letter dated May 30, 2013, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The subject product, Felodipine Tablets, in 2.5 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg, is a medicinal preparation containing Felodipine, a calcium channel blocker (calcium antagonist), as the active ingredient. It is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension. The applicable subheading for the Felopidine Tablets imported in dosage form will be 3004.90.9120, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Medicaments (…) consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses (…) or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other: Other: Other: Cardiovascular medicaments.” The rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
