N233984 November 2, 2012 CLA-2-96:OT:RR:NC:N4:422 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 9603.90.8050 Mr. Joseph Stinson Liss Global, Inc. 7746 Dungan Road Philadelphia, PA 19111 RE: The tariff classification of a grill scrubber from China Dear Mr. Stinson: In your letter dated October 2, 2012 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample is identified as a Mr. Bar-B-Q Heavy Duty Grill Scrubber, Item No. 06001X, Liss Item# 9018321, Mfg Item# 18321. This item is comprised of a scrubbing mop-head pad that is attached to a frame which is molded to a handle. Stated on the attached card are the words “Recommended for Use on Porcelain Cooking Grids”, Cleans Faster and Better Than a Grill Brish” and “Will Not Flatten Out or Get Soft”. As you requested, the sample will be returned to you. The applicable subheading for Item No. 06001X, Liss Item# 9018321, Mfg Item# 18321 will be 9603.90.8050, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for…mops…: other: other…other. The rate of duty will be 2.8 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
