You submitted descriptive literature and photographs. The items under consideration are shower doors imported from Ireland designed for people with disabilities. The doors are constructed of aluminum frames with glass panels. The shower doors are of half the height allowing the bather to be assisted by the care provider. They are primarily used for residential use. The aluminum frames impart the essential character. The applicable subheading for the aluminum doors will be 7610.10.0030, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for which provides for which provides for doors, windows and their frames and thresholds for doors, of aluminum. The general rate of duty will be 5.7 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
