N171235 June 24, 2011 CLA-2-63:OT:RR:NC:N3:351 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6307.90.9889 Ms. Jennie Crossley Allstar Marketing Group, LLC 2 Skyline Drive Hawthorne, NY 10532 RE: The tariff classification of a mesh screen door from China Dear Ms. Crossley: In your letter dated June 15, 2011, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You submitted an advertisement with a picture of the product you call the Magic Mesh Hands-Free Screen Door, Item MM130. The screen is made of woven polyester mesh and measures 83” L x 19.5” W. Hook-and-loop closures are nailed around the outside of a doorjamb, and then the mesh screens are attached to the hook-and-loop closures on either side. The hook-and-loop fastener strips and nails are included. Magnets attached down along the center length of the screens cause the screens to come together and close. The screen allows a door to remain open while keeping insects out. The applicable subheading for the Magic Mesh Hands-Free Screen Door, Item MM130, will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
