N145856 March 2, 2011 CLA-2-62:OT:RR:NC:TA:360 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6211.42.0056 Ms. Lena Rainbow Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation 200 Madison Avenue New York, NY 10016 RE: The tariff classification of a woman’s top from Sri Lanka Dear Ms. Rainbow: In your letter dated January 21, 2011, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Your sample will be returned as requested. Style THWL2111 is a woman’s top constructed of 45% cotton, 34% linen, and 21% rayon woven fabric. The top features a notched collar, short sleeves, a full front opening with a four button closure, a self fabric tie at the waist, two front pockets below the waist, and a hemmed bottom. The applicable subheading for style THWL2111 will be 6211.42.0056, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Track suits, ski-suits and swimwear; other garments: Other garments, women’s or girls’: Of cotton: Blouses, shirts and shirt-blouses, sleeveless tank styles and similar upper body garments, excluded from heading 6206. The rate of duty will be 8.1 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
