Dear Mr. To: In your letter received November 17, 2010, you requested a classification ruling on a child’s apron that will be distributed in the United States by Greenbrier International, Inc., Chesapeake , Virginia. The submitted sample is a children’s apron and does not have a style number. It is made of lightweight woven fabric that is 90% polyester, 10% cotton. The full body bib style apron has adjustable self-fabric textile neck straps and adjustable self-fabric textile straps that extend from the bib sides and secure closed at the wearer’s back. The applicable subheading for the apron will be 6211.43.0091, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Track suits, ski-suits and swimwear; other garments: Other garments, women’s or girls’: Of man-made fibers: Other." The rate of duty will be 16% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
