Field Impact Paper Products, LLC 223 SE 1st Avenue Clara City, MN 56222 RE: The tariff classification of drawstring bag from China Dear Mr. Field: In your letter dated November 8, 2010, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Your sample will be returned to you. Your sample, which was submitted without a style number, is a drawstring bag constructed of non-woven polypropylene textile material. The bag has an unlined main storage compartment with a drawstring closure and no additional features. It is designed to provide protection, portability, organization, and storage to personal effects during travel. It is of a durable construction and suitable for reuse. The bag measures approximately 10” (W) x 12.5” (H). The applicable subheading for the drawstring bag will be 4202.92.9026, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides, in part, for other bags and containers, with outer surface of textile materials, other, other, of man-made fibers. The duty rate will be 17.6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
