Dear Ms. Barker: In your letter dated July 14, 2010, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You submitted two samples for review. Item 44 (drawing number SCRE 30) is a stainless steel screw measuring M3x10 with a pozi countersunk head. Item 47 (drawing number SCRE 35) is an M3x20 stainless steel screw with a pozi pan head. The applicable subheading for item 44 (drawing number SCRE 30) and item 47 (drawing number SCRE 35) will be 7318.15.6070, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for screws, bolts, nuts, coach screws, screw hooks, rivets, cotters, cotter pins, washers (including spring washers) and similar articles, of iron or steel: threaded articles: other screws and bolts, whether or not with their nuts or washers: other: having shanks or threads with a diameter of less than 6 mm: other: of stainless steel. The duty rate will be 6.2% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
