Dear Ms. Lopez: In your letter dated June 9, 2010, you requested a tariff classification ruling. As requested, your sample will be returned. Style WN5298 is a men’s cardigan constructed from 100% cotton, French terry knit fabric that measures 18 stitches per 2 centimeters counted in the horizontal direction. Style WN5298 has a self-fabric mandarin-style collar; a full front opening with a dual closure consisting of five button closures and an adjacent zipper closure; long sleeves with self-fabric shirt-style cuffs with one button closures; buttoned epaulets on the shoulders; two non-expandable pleated pockets on the chest with flaps and button closures; two non-expandable pleated pockets below the waist with flaps and button closures; and a straight, loose fitting, hemmed bottom. The applicable subheading for Style WN5298 will be 6110.20.2069, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, (HTSUS), which provides for: sweaters, pullovers, sweatshirts, waistcoats (vests) and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: of cotton: other: other: other: other: men's or boys'.
