N071936 September 1, 2009 CLA-2-42:OT:RR:NC:N4:441 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 4202.92.9026 Claudia Evans BDG International, Inc. 840 Tollgate Road Elgin, IL 60123 RE: The tariff classification of a drawstring pouch from China Dear Ms. Evans: In your letter dated August 11, 2009, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client, Hoffmaster Group, Inc. Your samples will be returned to you as requested. The submitted sample, which did not include a style number, is a drawstring pouch constructed of 100% polyester textile material. The interior of the pouch is unlined and consists of a single compartment with no additional features. The pouch has an open top and a drawstring closure. It is designed to provide protection, portability, storage to its contents. It is of a durable construction and suitable for long-term use. It measures approximately 4” (W) x 5” (H). The applicable subheading for the drawstring pouch will be 4202.92.9026, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other bags and containers, with outer surface of textile materials, other, other, of man-made fibers. The duty rate will be 17.6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
