Dear Mr. Ashear: In your letter dated April 3, 2009, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample provided will be returned as per your request. Style PRO-991 is a man’s lined and insulated full-fingered glove constructed of a knitted polyester fabric. The glove features a sewn-on mitten style cover that can be placed over the fingers or secured with sewn-in magnets when not in use and a coated fabric overlay covering a portion of the palm which extends to the palmside’s full fingered thumb. Additional features include a ribbed knit acrylic cuff, an elasticized wrist, fourchettes, and a hook and clasp. Style PRO-HN-08-HMX04 is a man’s lined and insulated full-fingered glove constructed of a knitted polyester fabric. The glove features a sewn-on mitten style cover that can be placed over the fingers or secured with sewn-in magnets when not in use and a coated fabric overlay covering a portion of the palm which extends to the palmside’s full fingered thumb. Additional features include a ribbed knit acrylic cuff, an elasticized wrist, fourchettes, and a hook and clasp. The applicable subheading for Styles PRO-991 and PRO-HN-08-HMX04 will be 6116.93.9400, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Gloves, mittens and mitts, knitted or crocheted: Other: Of synthetic fibers: Other: Other: With fourchettes.
