Dear Ms. Greener: In your letter dated August 22, 2008, you requested a tariff classification ruling. As requested, your sample will be returned. Style 066-0549 is a men’s jacket constructed from 100% cotton, French terry knit fabric. The jacket has a rib knit convertible collar; a full front opening with a zippered closure; a screen printed logo on the left chest; long sleeves with rib knit cuffs; pouch pockets below the waist; and a rib knit bottom. The applicable subheading for Style 066-0549 will be 6101.20.0010, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, (HTSUS), which provides for: men’s or boys’ overcoats, carcoats, capes, cloaks, anoraks (including ski-jackets), windbreakers, and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: other than those of heading 6103: of cotton: men’s. The rate of duty is 15.9% valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. With the exception of certain products of China, quota/visa requirements are no longer applicable for merchandise which is the product of World Trade Organization (WTO) member countries.
