Via De La Luna Scottsdale, Arizona 85258 RE: The tariff classification of a towel from South Korea Dear Ms. Montreal: In your letter dated June 12, 2008 you requested a classification ruling. You will be importing a towel. Photographs of the towel were submitted with your request. The towel will be made from 95 percent nylon and 5 percent polyurethane non-woven fabric. It has rounded corners and the edges will be finished with an overlock stitch. The towel will be available in three sizes that include 35 x 60 inches, 25 x 42 inches and 18 x 25 inches. The applicable subheading for the towel will be 6302.93.2000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for bed linen, table linen, toilet linen and kitchen linen: toilet linen and kitchen linen...other: of man-made fibers: other. The rate of duty will be 9.9 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. With the exception of certain products of China, quota/visa requirements are no longer applicable for merchandise which is the product of World Trade Organization (WTO) member countries.
