Freeport Center Building D-11 Clearfield, UT 84016 RE: The tariff classification of a folding card table from China. Dear Mr. Brown: In your letter dated June 5, 2008, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You have submitted illustrations and description for a folding steel card table. As opposed to the traditional folding legs that work independently, the table at issue features two sets of legs that fold together. In addition, the round table top is hinged to fold in half. The applicable subheading for the card table will be 9403.20.0015, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Other furniture and parts thereof: Other metal furniture, Household: Other.” The rate of duty will be Free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. The merchandise in question may be subject to antidumping duties or countervailing duties. Written decisions regarding the scope of AD/CVD orders are issued by the Import Administration in the Department of Commerce and are separate from tariff classification and origin rulings issued by Customs and Border Protection.
