Dear Mr. Ashear: In your letter dated June 3, 2008, you requested a classification ruling on behalf of your client, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. The samples submitted will be returned as per your request. The submitted sample, style WMA48103, is a string-knit glove constructed of 85% acrylic, 14% polyester and 1% spandex knitted fabric. The glove features a 4- inch hemmed ribbed knit cuff. You state that the glove will be available in an assortment of colors. The submitted sample, style WMA48105, is a string-knit glove constructed of 86% acrylic, 13% polyester and 1% spandex knitted fabric. The glove features a 4-inch hemmed ribbed knit cuff. You state that the glove will be available in an assortment of colors. The applicable subheading for the styles WMA48103 and WMA48105 will be 6116.93.8800, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Gloves, mittens and mitts, knitted or crocheted: Other: Of synthetic fibers: Other: Other: Without fourchettes. The duty rate will be 18.6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
