Valley Blvd. #268 San Gabriel, CA 91776 RE: The tariff classification of a carry case from China Dear Ms. Wang: In your letter dated August 7, 2006, you requested a classification ruling on behalf of Tran Ba Tu DBA USA Marketing N Sales. In your letter you refer to four item numbers. However, you only submitted a sample for one. We are only able to issue a ruling for the submitted sample. The submitted sample is identified as item number UM20050221A. It is a carrying case wholly made of plastic sheeting. The carrying case has a top zipper closure and measures approximately 8” (W) x 7” (H). It is designed to provide storage, protection, organization, and portability to its contents. The applicable subheading for the carry case will be 4202.92.9060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides, in part, for other containers and cases, other, with outer surface of textile materials or of sheeting of plastic, other. The duty rate will be 17.6 percent ad valorem Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
