As requested, your sample is being returned to you. Style 17S6-56 (45-17-00431) is a woman’s sweater constructed from 100% cotton openwork crocheted fabric. The garment features a full front opening with a self-fabric tie closure and long sleeves. In your ruling request, you recommended classification of the submitted garment under HTS 6114.20.0060. It is noted that style 17S6-56 (45-17-00431) has construction features common to garments of heading 6110 and provides sufficient coverage. It is more specifically provided for in 6110. The applicable subheading for style 17S6-56 (45-17-00431) will be 6110.20.2020, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for sweaters, pullovers, sweatshirts, waistcoats (vests) and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: of cotton: other: other: sweaters: women’s. The duty rate will be 16.5% ad valorem. Tariff number 17S6-56 (45-17-00431) falls within textile category designation 345.
