Dear Mr. Chen: In your letter dated February 21, 2006, you requested a classification ruling. Style 3750J is a woman’s upper body garment constructed from 60 percent cotton and 40 percent acrylic knitted fabric. The short sleeve pullover has a wide and deep V-neckline that is trimmed with a ribbed-knit band. The garment bottom features a ribbed knit finish. The front of the garment provides insufficient bust coverage.      The applicable subheading for style 3750J will be 6114.20.0060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other garments, knitted or crocheted: Of Cotton: Other. The rate of duty will be 10.8% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. The garment falls within textile category designation 359.
