NY M80511 March 21, 2006 CLA-2-62:RR:NC:N3:360 M80511 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6211.42.0075 Ms. Jane Vergona Total Port Clearance Inc. 10 Fifth Street Valley Stream, NY 11581 RE: The tariff classification of a woman’s jacket from India Dear Ms. Vergona: In your letter dated February 13, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of Graham Kandiah LLC. The submitted sample will be returned to you as requested. Style Tangier Coat is a woman’s jacket constructed from 100 percent cotton woven fabric. The garment extends below mid-thigh and features long sleeves, a collar, side seam pockets, side vents, a lining and a full front opening secured by three frog closures. The garment is covered with embroidery and mirrors. The applicable subheading for the jacket will be 6211.42.0075, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for track suits, ski-suits and swimwear; other garments: other garments, women’s or girls’: of cotton: jackets and jacket-type garments excluded from heading 6202. The duty rate will be 8.1 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
