Equibar brand nutrition bars are rectangular products, approximately 3-3/4 inches long, 1-1/8 inches wide, and 5/8-inch thick, packed for retail sale in heat-sealed plastic film wrappers containing 40 grams, net weight. Your inquiry does not provide enough information for us to give a classification ruling on the almond bar, almond & carob bar, and the peanut butter & carob bar. Your request for a classification ruling should include a complete description of the processing for the brown rice syrup ingredient, and the carbohydrate profile of this ingredient. When this information is available, you may wish to consider resubmission of your request. The samples of these three items will be retained with the National Import Specialist for thirty (30) days, pending receipt of this information. If you decide to resubmit your request, please include all of the material that we have returned to you. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
