NY G87963 April 2, 2001 CLA-2-39:RR:NC:SP:222 G87963 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 3926.40.0000 Ms. Janet Robinson Decal Specialties, Inc. 28 Bridge Avenue, Suite 204 Berwyn, PA 19312 RE: The tariff classification of re-usable plastic stickers from Taiwan. Dear Ms. Robinson: In your letter dated February 28, 2001, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample is a three-dimensional plastic sticker in the shape of a butterfly. The stickers are printed with colorful designs. They are made with a self-adhesive backing. The self-adhesive stickers are designed so that a portion of the sticker presses flat on the object, while the upper portion is raised. In your letter of inquiry, you state that the stickers will be used for decorative purposes. The applicable subheading for the re-usable three-dimensional plastic stickers, will be 3926.40.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for other articles of plastics and articles of other materials of headings 3901 to 3914: statuettes and other ornamental articles. The rate of duty will be 5.3 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
