Neil Co., Inc. 1064 Route 109 Box 617 Lindenhurst, NY 11757-0617 RE: The tariff classification of Mylar braid from Korea Dear Mr. Ambrose: In your letter dated September 30, 1998, you requested a classification ruling. You submitted a sample of Mylar braid which you state will be used for dressing lures. It is of a loose tubular braid construction and measures approximately 5 mm. in width. It will be imported in 1 and 100 meter lengths. The applicable subheading for the braid will be 5808.10.9000 HTS, which provides for braids in the piece; other; other. The duty rate will be 6.7 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
