Amendment to NY Ruling C88740 dated July 1, 1998.
NY D80761 August 11, 1998 CLA-2-42:RR:NC:TA:341 D80761 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 4202.92.3031 Ms. Bonnie Lawlor Bonn International 11099 S. La Cienega Blvd. #249 Los Angeles, CA 90045 RE: Amendment to NY Ruling C88740 dated July 1, 1998. Dear Ms. Lawlor: In your letter dated July 29, 1998, you requested an amendment of classification ruling NY C88740 which was issued to you on July 1, 1998 from this office. You have indicated that the letter should be amended to include the Importer's name and China as country of origin as well as Korea. The original ruling NY C88740 inadvertently omitted the Importer's name and China as an additional country of origin. The name of the Importer should be Vintage Golftex, Inc., and the country of origin should read China as well as Korea. The item, an unfinished golf bag of nylon was correctly classified under 4202.92.3031, however, products from China requires a textile category designation of 670 and are subject to quota and the requirement of a visa. All other information in the original letter remains the same. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of this supplement and the original ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported. If the documents have been filed without a copy, this ruling should be brought to the attention of the Customs officer handling the transaction. If you have any questions pertaining to this matter, please contact National Import Specialist Kevin Gorman at 212-466-5893. Sincerely, Robert B. Swierupski Director, National Commodity Specialist Division
