NY C80349 November 3, 1997 CLA-2-87:RR:NC:1:101 C80349 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 8708.29.5060 Mr. Spencer Hutchins AKA INTERNATIONAL, INC. 2601 Elliott Avenue Suite 3167 Seattle, WA 98121 RE: The tariff classification of an automotive Visor Organizer from Hong Kong Dear Mr. Hutchins: In your letter dated October 9, 1997, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of Cabela's, Inc. (I.R.S.# 47-0489271). The item concerned (shown below) is a 1'L X 6"W, rectangular piece of sewn, black nylon with cardboard inside. One side of the item has five pockets sewn into it: three pouch pockets, a pocket with a clear plastic face, and a zippered, mesh pocket; a white, ruled notecard is inserted into the pocket with the plastic face. There are also two, 1«", loops sewn onto the top and bottom of the inside of the item. The other side of the item has two, webbed straps with sewn-on Velcro sewn onto it and two, black, plastic buckles looped through the end of two, black, sewn-on elastic loops. The sample submitted was manufactured by Jasper Outdoor Products Limited (Model# P39281, Item# JOP-124. The applicable subheading for the Visor Organizer (Set #51-2790) will be 8708.29.5060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for Parts and accessories of . . . motor vehicles . . . : Other parts and accessories of bodies: Other: Other: Other. The rate of duty will be 2.7% ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
