Dear Mr. Marshall: In your letter dated November 27, 1996, you requested a tariff classification ruling for Dodecylbenzene. The applicable subheading will be 2902.90.3010, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for cyclic hydrocarbons: other. The rate of duty will be 0.9 cents per kilogram plus 13.8 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
