Box 612369 DFW Airport, TX 75261 RE: The tariff classification of a lounge chair cover from Mexico. Dear Mr. Castellanos: In your letter dated July 10, 1996 you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of Interstyle, Inc. The submitted blue lounge chair cover is made of 100 percent nylon woven fabric. It measures approximately 20 x 64 inches. This cover is designed t slip over a lounge chair. Sewn onto the top edge of the headrest portion are two meatal clips which allow the attachment of a towel to the cover. This cover has a side pocket with four divisions used to hold such items as suntan lotion, etc. There is a textile strap sewn to the foot rest portion of the cover. This strap may be used to carry the chair. The back portion of the headrest has a large mesh pocket and the word "Lepela". The applicable subheading for the cover will be 6304.92.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for other furnishing articles, excluding those of heading 9404: other: not knitted or crocheted, of synthetic fibers. The general rate of duty will be 10.3 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
