Ruling Text

PD A81950 April 25, 1996 CLA-2-61-NO:CO:FNIS:I06 A81950 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6110.90.1060 Ms. Sharron A. Lintner F. W. Myers and Company, Incorporated 193 West Service Road P.O. Box 188 Champlain, New York 12919 Dear Ms. Lintner: We refer to binding ruling letter A81950 issued to you by this office on April 15, 1996. Through clerical error, the ruling incorrectly referred to garments from Quebec. The fourth paragraph also erroneously stated that based upon international textile trade agreements, products of Quebec are not presently subject to quota and the requirement of a visa. The ruling is corrected as follows: The reference should read: "RE: The tariff classification of women's knit upper body garments from Canada". The fourth paragraph should read: These garments fall within textile category designation 739. Based upon international textile trade agreements, products of Canada are not presently subject to quota and the requirement of a visa. The balance of the ruling letter is correct as originally issued. We regret any inconvenience this matter may have caused. If you have any questions regarding this issue, please contact Field National Import Specialist Corliss Smith at (504)589-2027 or National Import Specialist Michael Crowley at (212)466-5852.
