NY 815389 NOVEMBER 3, 1995 CLA-2-61:S:N5:358 815389 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6111.20.6010 Mr. James R. Barnes Textile Home Classics 1450 Broadway, 17th Floor New York, NY 10018 RE: The tariff classification and status under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), of an infant's creeper from Mexico, Article 509. Dear Mr. Barnes: We refer to Nafta ruling letter NY 810893, issued to you on July 5, 1995. In that ruling, we stated that the submitted sample, an infant's 65% cotton, 35% polyester creeper, no style number indicated, should be classified under HTS number 6111.20.6010, at a free rate of duty from Mexico. During a subsequent review of the original letter, it was discovered that the duty given was incorrect. The correct rate of duty for the infant's creeper should be 6.2% ad valorem. All other information remains the same. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Copies of this supplemental ruling are being provided to all ports where entry of this merchandise will be made. A copy of this letter should be given to your broker and all members of your staff who are involved with clearing merchandise through Customs.
